Editorial

Editorial policy

Explanatory writing should make the evidence easier to understand. It must not become a second, conflicting source of product truth.

Structured truth comes first

Appliance facts and replacement logic belong in the validated data and decision layers. Editorial copy can explain those concepts, but should not invent product-specific measurements or compatibility claims.

Clear language over manufactured confidence

ReplaceIQ should explain limitations directly. Phrases that imply certainty are inappropriate when the evidence does not support certainty.

No invented endorsements or statistics

ReplaceIQ does not create fictional manufacturer relationships, certifications, review scores, usage statistics, or source citations for presentation purposes.

Corrections should update the source of truth

When a factual issue is confirmed, the correct fix is to update the relevant validated data or evidence relationship and then allow dependent interfaces to reflect that correction.
